Linworth Children's Center Staff
Miss Natalia has been teaching in the Guppy room since May 2008. She really enjoys working with the babies and seeing them grow. She and her husband have two daughters that attend LCC. Miss Natalia comes from a large family and hopes to have a large family of her own one day.
Miss Denise has been teaching in the Guppy Room since 2014. She received her Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University in Sociology and Criminology. She and her husband, Josh, have a daughter, Rowan, who attends LCC. She looks forward to many great years helping babies learn and grow.
Miss Christina is a teacher in the Turtle room and has been with LCC since 2009. She finds the toddler age to be very exciting and a lot of fun to work with. Before coming to LCC Miss Christina received her Associates Degree and nannied for two years. She and her husband, Jake, have a son and a daughter that attend LCC. They are excited to have them in their lives and hope to have a lot more children someday. Miss Christina is the second youngest of six children and loves spending time with her family.
Miss Tori graduated from The Ohio State University in 2014 with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. She has been with LCC since 2010 and has worked with the Turtle room for three years. In her free time, Miss Tori loves coaching middle school volleyball, as well as reading and spending time with her nieces.
Miss Jennifer has been teaching at LCC since 2007. She received her Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in Early Childhood Education. She has been married since 2011 and is a mom to her son, Finlee. In her spare time, Miss Jennifer enjoys hiking, cooking, and fishing. She is a huge soccer fan and loves going to the Columbus Crew games!
Miss Katrina has been with LCC since 2005. She graduated from Columbus State Community College with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Her favorite thing about teaching in the three year old room is storytime and teaching about Monarch butterflies. Her favorite books are the Wide Mouthed Frog, and Gotta Go Gotta Go (a Monarch butterfly story). When she is not teaching, Miss Katrina loves cooking and spending time at her brother's house playing with her new nephew.
Miss Hannah is a teacher in the Whale room and has been with LCC since the summer of 2012. Miss Hannah and her husband have 2 daughters. In her spare time she likes to read and do crafts with her girls.
Miss Sareena teaches in the Whale room and has been with LCC for 14 years! She loves working with children. Miss Sareena has two children. Her son, Arshan, is working in Deloitte consulting as a Technology Consultant. Her daughter, Zeenath, is a second year medical student at OSU, and her husband works for the State of Ohio as an Accountant. In her free time, Miss Sareena loves traveling, shopping, and having parties. Miss Sareena loves working at LCC!
Miss Yvonne joined the LCC team in December 2014. She attended the University of Pittsburgh and obtained her Masters in Education, specializing in reading readiness and beginning reading. Miss Yvonne has worked with children ages 2 years old to 12 years old. She has taught in an elementary school, was a stay at home mom, and has started a local Mom's group for mothers and their young children. Her family includes her husband and her 10 year old son. Last summer, they moved to Columbus from Pittsburgh, PA.
Miss Rekha joined the LCC team in January 2015. She grew up in Twinsburg, Ohio and moved to the Columbus area in 2011 to attend college. She received her degree in Early and Middle Childhood Studies from The Ohio State University. Miss Rekha enjoys traveling to Disney World and exploring Columbus. She looks forward to getting to know her students and their families each year.
Miss Teri has been at LCC since 2004 and teaches the Koala, Panda, and Kangaroo classes. Before working at LCC, Miss Teri was a therapist and worked with children in treatment foster care. She graduated from The Ohio State University and received her Master's Degree in Counseling Education from The University of Dayton. Miss Teri and her husband have two children, who both graduated from LCC.
Miss Kelly is excited to be teaching in the Koalas/Panda class. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Lima Technical College. Miss Kelly taught preschool for 6 years before becoming a stay at home mom. Miss Kelly and her husband have 3 children, Ian (14), Claire (12), and William (9) who keep them very busy!
Miss Becky teaches the Lion and Tiger classes. She has been with LCC since it opened in 2000. Miss Becky graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (specialization in Learning Disabilities) and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has had the opportunity to teach in a variety of settings, including kindergarten, first grade, third grade, preschools, and with children that have emotional, behavioral and developmental disorders. Miss Becky has been married for 40 years and has two grown sons. She has also been a life long member of Linworth United Methodist Church.
Her educational philosophy is expressed in the song lyrics:
"When she looks at the children, she is trying to teach, she is spellbound with giving them something to reach. They are just starting out, and how far they will go, Depends on the loving to learn that they come to know. If they are spellbound with loving to learn, then the dream of a child will make the whole world turn."
Miss Amanda has been with LCC since June 2011. She grew up in Maumee, Ohio and attended Eastern Michigan University. She received her Bachelors in Science and has her teaching license in PreK-5. Miss Amanda and her husband, Sean, have a son, Brock, and two dogs, Peyton and Carmen.
Miss Marci teaches Kindergarten Bound and has been with LCC since 2001. Miss Marci is married to Donny, who is the brother of Miss Christina and Miss Natalia. She and her husband have two boys, Nicholas, a junior at TWHS, and Nathan, a 7th grader at Worthingway. Both boys play travel baseball in the spring and summer. In addition to teaching, Miss Marci is the head gymnastics coach at Worthingway Middle School and Kilbourne Middle School in the fall. Miss Marci is the head coach for Thomas Worthington High School's gymnastics team in the winter.
Miss Shelley has been with LCC since 2001 and teaches with the Kindergarten Bound team. She is the mother of 2 daughters. Originally from Pennsylvania, she graduated from Lock Haven University with a BA in Psychology.
Miss Jamie joined the LCC teaching team in 2013. Miss Jamie went to Longwood College in Virginia and has been teaching sing 1991, with eight years off to be home with her daughters. She has two children who went through the LCC program, now ages 10 and 13, and she feels so blessed to have the opportunity to be a teacher in the Dragonfly and Ladybug class.
Mrs. Beymer has been with LCC since 2002. She received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami University and her Masters in Literacy from Ashland University. In her free time, Mrs. Beymer loves spending time with her family!
Mrs. Gallagher has been teaching preschool and kindergarten for 24 years. She lives in Dublin with her husband, son, and dog. Mrs. Gallagher graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and received her Masters in Education from Marshall University. Mrs. Gallagher lives in Dublin with her husband, son, and dog. She enjoys gardening, decorating, and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Stover has been with LCC since 2002 and has taught or substituted in almost all of the classrooms. She is the Kindergarten Aide, teaches Kindergarten Specials, and Enrichment Fridays. Mrs. Stover has been happily married for 21 years and has two children. Before working at LCC, Mrs. Stover stayed home with her children and had experience working at a summer camp for under-privileged children.
Miss Judy just joined the LCC staff as the After Care teacher. She graduated from The University of Maryland with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Miss Judy has taught kindergarten and first grade and is currently a teaching assistant in kindergarten at St. Timothy's School. In her spare time, Miss Judy loves spending time with her family.
Miss Anna is the Director of LCC and has been with LCC since 2001. She started as a teacher and then was the Program Coordinator prior to becoming the Director. Miss Anna graduated from Wittenberg University with a degree in Sociology. She has many years of experience in early childhood development and programming. She and her husband have two beautiful daughters that attend LCC.
Miss Susan is the Business Manager at LCC and has been with LCC since 2001. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Business and previously worked in Human Resources. Miss Susan works closely with Anna and manages the business end of the children’s center. Miss Susan is married and has two children that have been through our full-day and Kindergarten programs.
